Dr. Grant Pagdin
Director of Medical Services
Dr Pagdin graduated from UBC Medical School in 1988. He served 3 years as a flight surgeon in the Canadian Air Force with an F-18 squadron, and then took up family medicine in Vernon BC. After further training in emergency medicine, Dr Pagdin worked for 3 years in New York State. He has been practicing in Kelowna since 2005. Currently board certified in Family Medicine, he has special interests in Preventative Medicine, Urgent Care, and operating room assisting. Married with 3 active daughters, he enjoys participating in triathlons, loves music and plays keyboards in a band. He and his family are actively involved in Willow Park Church.

Dr. Andreas M Kluftinger MD FRCSC
Dr. Andy Kluftinger graduated with honours from UBC Medical School in 1987. He completed his Internship in Victoria BC and General Surgical Residency in Vancouver BC. He moved to Saskatoon in 1993 to take further training in advanced laparoscopic surgery and practised there for 7 years. Since 2000 he has been a busy member of the Kelowna General Hospital surgical staff serving as Division and Department Head as well as on many hospital committees. His special interests include laparoscopic surgery, weight loss surgery and endoscopy. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Moving to Kelowna with his wife and four children has allowed Dr Kluftinger to return to his passions of down-hill and cross country skiing at Big White, golfing, boating, cycling and swimming. He and his family are also avid campers, hikers and travelers.

Dr. Ziad Jaklis
Director of Men’s Health
Dr. Ziad Jaklis, attended the University of Ottawa where he obtained his Biology and Medical degrees and completed his residency in Urology with a special interest in Men’s Health, Andrology and Sexual Medicine. He then moved to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, where he had a very busy surgical practice as a community Urologist for the last 10 years.
Over the years, his interest in Men’s Health issues expanded by attending courses and seminars, including a preceptorship in Men’s Health and Sexual Medicine with world renowned Dr. Irwin Goldstein.

Dr. Andrew Sellars
Andrew received his M.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2001, and has spent the past 8 years developing skills in Anesthesia and Rural Family Practice, but his passion remains in exercise physiology, and incorporating the benefits of exercise into medical practice. As Head Coach of the Balance Point Racing High Performance Program, he has been actively involved in developing local athletes for endurance competitions both locally and internationally. He brings this passion, and his knowledge of physiology to improve the lives of all patients he comes in contact with.

Rick Diduck, RMT
Rick Diduck is a Registered Massage Therapist with 10 years of experience providing Health Care in Kelowna. He is registered with both the CMTBC and the MTABC. Always staying current with new information, Rick has taken courses on weight training, personal fitness, fascial release, and systemic deep tissue treatment. His practice centers on assessing and understanding what your symptoms are, and then moving forward with a personal treatment plan to help you reach optimal health. Rick will also continue to help you after your treatment by recommending exercise and home care. He says that clients can expect to see real results as well as experience a deep sense of relaxation and renewal.
Rick is married, and a father to three very active boys. Having spent the last 15 years in Kelowna, he loves to take advantage of everything that our beautiful city has to offer and he stays busy with his family by camping, mountain biking, wakeboarding, snowboarding and staying fit.

Ryan Bachmeier MScPT, BSc
Ryan graduated from the University of Alberta with his Masters in Physiotherapy in 2006. He joined iQuest Healthcare in January 2007 and enjoys the extended 1-on-1 patient to therapist treatment time and the team approach that is available in a private clinic setting here at iQuest. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Lethbridge in 2004 with a major in Exercise Science.
Ryan played junior hockey for the Calgary Royals for three years after which his hockey career continued with a NCAA Division 1 hockey scholarship to Bemidji State University in Minnesota. Unfortunately, his NCAA career was cut short by injuries; however he was able to have surgery and rehabilitate enough to return to the University of Lethbridge to play for the Pronghorns in the CIS. Ryan’s interests include hockey, snowboarding, wakeboarding, golfing, hiking, camping and all the other activities the Okanagan Valley has to offer.
Ryan enjoys helping clients return to unrestricted activity. He offers a comprehensive treatment involving manual and exercise therapy for all musculoskeletal disorders whether they are caused by trauma, work or sport. With his training under the CAFCI, he also offers acupuncture as part of his physiotherapy services. He is currently pursuing further post-graduate qualifications in manual therapy and sports physiotherapy.

Scott Fitzgerald M.Sc.P.T, MCPA
Scott graduated from the University of Alberta in 2007 in the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. Areas of interest include musculoskeletal conditions and sports injury. Scott bases his treatment on manual therapy coupled with a therapeutic exercise program which empowers the client to become self-sufficient and avoid recurrent injuries.
Outside of work, Scott is a sports enthusiast and enjoys golfing and hiking in the summer as well as hockey and cross-country skiing in the winter.

Dr. Nimchuk is a graduate from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Nimchuk is skilled in a variety of adjusting techniques and is a certified provider with the Motion Palpation Institute. He also employs gentler Activator instrument protocols and is a credentialed provider of Active Release Techniques. ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. ART is a very effective treatment for many injuries, especially repetitive strain injuries caused through workplace and athletic activities.
Prior to entering chiropractic college Dr. Nimchuk worked in Edmonton at a large interdisciplinary rehabilitation centre. There he developed rehabilitation exercise programs for injured workers and completed workplace evaluations. He maintains his status as a Certified Exercise Physiologist and has also completed a Masters degree in Health Promotion.
Dr. Nimchuk believes in evidence based practice, identifying underlying biomechanical faults and treating them with chiropractic care and active rehabilitation.
In his spare time Dr. Nimchuk enjoys many sports such as distance running, cycling, ball and ice hockey, skiing and squash. He looks forward to spending his leisure time exploring the beautiful Okanagan area.

Dr. Alana Berg, ND
Dr. Alana Berg was born and raised in Alberta, with the majority of her upbringing being in the rural community of Lac La Biche. She attended the University of Alberta in 1998 for 3 years with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She then attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine for 4 years in Toronto, graduating in 2005. She has taken various courses to expand her career as a naturopath: Mind Body Medicine from Harvard University; Homeopathic UNDA and Gemmotherapy; IV therapy, and Neural therapy and Trigger point injections. She also has participated in various courses and seminars in the area of meditation, visualizations, and goal setting.
Since her graduation, she has worked a locum at the St. Albert Naturopathic clinic, and she also has experience at the renowned Integrative Medical Institute in Calgary. An integrative clinic has always been a vision for Dr. Berg, where all the professionals can bring together their skills for the common good of the patient.

Kim Ewing, M.A., M.Sc., RCC, RMFT
Kim is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist who has specialized training in treating eating disorders. Kim also has a strong background in Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry and has worked in mental health for the past 12 years. Kim counsels individuals who are struggling with either disordered eating or an eating disorder. Disordered eating includes a continuum of dysfunctional eating patterns and behaviours that could include restrictive eating, food preoccupation, yo-yo dieting, chaotic or emotional overeating, bingeing and unhealthy practices to loose weight. Eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. Kim assists clients with learning new positive coping skills, changing self-defeating thinking and making positive changes in life. She promotes developing a positive body image at all sizes and achieving health and fitness with lifestyle changes. She takes a non-dieting approach and practices a philosophy where all foods can fit in a balanced manner. As well, Kim teaches clients to reconnect with their cues of hunger and fullness and become conscious eaters who are in charge of their eating patterns. Individuals with food and body image issues also often struggle with depression, anxiety and substance issues. Kim provides treatment for these areas as well as abuse related issues and other personal struggles

Kim’s journey in health and fitness began when she made the decision to change from observing life to participating in it!
As a CPT throught the Candian Society for Exercise Physiology she has been involved in fitness training and coaching for over 25years and now mentors those who are beginning their own journey in the business of health and fitness. She has received awards for her program development and spreads her passion of health into the world of first aid as she teaches people to take care of others. With a desire to understand the ‘behavior of health’, Kim spends time in the study of behavior to discover why we make the choices we do. Kim’s passion is to help others in their journey of physical health and wellness. -
Dory Dueck
Dory’s passion for fitness began with her venture into the sport of running. As the benefits of sport became apparent to her she furthered her education in the field of fitness through the BCRPA and has gone on to spread her love for activity to her group fitness and personal clients. Trained in special populations and specializing in group fitness for older adult, she has developed a style that is both inviting and challenging for all her participants. Her personal transition into the sport of triathlon has allowed her to expand her career into that of recreational athletes.

Paige Boal BSc.
Practising Kinesiologist
Paige Boal graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria in 2007. During her time in Victoria she was a volunteer Athletic Trainer for a premier men’s rugby team. She also has experience working with high risk cardiac and respiratory patients through the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Paige joined the iQuest team in January 2008 and enjoys working with the wide variety of clients that iQuest provides. She is currently working towards becoming certified as an Exercise Specialist through the American college of Sports Medicine. In the past, Paige was a competitive gymnast, with both North Valley Gymnastics and the Okanagan Kokanees. She also enjoys volleyball, snowboarding, and a variety of activities.
